Elizabeth [00:00:05] Welcome to Wonks and War Rooms, where political communication theory meets on-the-ground strategy. I'm your host Elizabeth Dubois. I'm an associate professor at the University of Ottawa, and my pronouns are she/her. Today, I'm recording from the traditional and unceded territory of the Algonquin people.

[00:00:20] Today, it's just a quick teaser for what you can expect this season on Wonks and War Rooms. We're focusing on mis- and disinformation. We're going to be talking about how to define those terms, what wider ideas like information disorder are, how mis- and dis-info are the same or different from propaganda, what post-truth politics might mean, and so much more. I'll be chatting with political strategists and campaigners, journalists, public policy folks, and academics.

[00:00:48] Over the course of the season. I'm hoping that you'll learn what exactly mis- dis-info actually are and what we can and can't do about them.
